The Second session kicked off immediately anchored by Pastor Sola Adeyinka, a well-rounded man of God who has a strong passion to empower people financially. He gave a talk on Finance: Building financial systems for a great financial future. In this session, men got equipped with the principles which are essential for gaining financial freedom.
Principle 1: WHERE ARE YOU?
In building a financial system, it is essential that you understand where you are and also understand the financial foundation you are building on. This includes identifying your family background and your professional experience.
Principle 2: HAVE THE RIGHT VISION
When you think about building wealth, locate where you are and have a determined mindset. Do you have an employee, business owner, investor or self-employed mindset? Realize that your ability to locate your place is very essential as this determines how far you go on this journey. He further stressed the importance of having a clear vision as this is what keeps you motivated. It is going to be a long journey to financial freedom, and your vision is what will keep you moving.
Making tactical plans is essential, never live in the mirage of financial freedom as some will have it. In life, learn to hold on to principles rather than accidental occurrences. It is important to grow from a stagnant cash flow point to building a capital base, then generate assets and build a channel for passive income. Always have a pattern of sustenance.
Principle 3: UNDERSTANDING FINANCIAL FREEDOM
Financial freedom is being who you want to be and becoming what you want to be in life. It is basically setting the standard. It is also important to understand that there is a clear difference between financial freedom and being rich. On this journey, there are certain principles you must also run with
- Emotional stability.
- Put on your amour of determination and be ready to achieve.
- Realize that change is foundational to building wealth. Don’t just stay in your familiar zone, be ready to explore new options.
- Have the necessary knowledge, it attracts money itself. Relate with people who are already into it and be ready to learn.
- Control your expenses, start saving and take up opportunities when they come. Never live to impress people, don’t give people an exaggerated view of you. Be Real!
In conclusion, It is important to invest and in doing this, exercise patience. Don’t get carried away, rather carry out a reward-to-risk ratio, never put what you cannot afford in a high risk. Be mindful of ‘get rich quick’ means, they are often not sustainable. Engage these principles on your journey to financial freedom and you will be amazed at the financial giant you will become.
