You will be astounded by this! Only few minutes after the heavy dose of the second session, Pastor Olaolu Oluwadare mounted the stage to expound on the teaching of how a leader thinks, making reference to an anchor Scripture (Proverbs 23:7) which lucidly emphasizes the power of the mind. He emphatically stated that it is impossible to separate yourself from your thoughts because that’s what makes you. He further taught on the will of God for us, which is to be a leader, whose functionality is to dominate. The main qualifying factor for leadership is its characteristic mindset which inspires followership, as several factors like size, age, and stature do not count regarding leadership. Amidst many important points he made was the fact that leadership is influence, and influence is not influence except it changes things. Leadership is the capacity to cause a change, the burning passion to do things better and not stay complacent with the status quo. He further emphasized that the concept of leadership is not a destination, but a journey.
Deep into the teaching, he speaks on ways which a leader thinks, better put, the mindset of a leader.
- Leaders see opportunities , not challenges.
- A leader thinks service, he seeks ways of serving people with one major aim: adding value to people.
- A leader has faith.
A leader is one who thinks like a predator; he sets out to make things happen.
